Fine weather is changing the woods
I ran the woodland route on Monday night and the fine weather that we've had recently has definatly started to have an impact on the terrain. The trail is firming up and having the sun finally shining through the trees is starting to give the feeling that spring is nearly here. While running I saw at least 20 deer and two muntjack and the illusive white albino deer. The final part of the route directs runners to the "Hill from Hell" which I tackled on Monday and my legs are still feeling now. Its only 80 meters or so but after 13 miles its a killer. After the "Hill from Hell" its a couple of turns onto the finishing straight with a nice gentle downhill sprint to the finish.
